Pediatric Cancer

The WynterDiva Foundation is committed to bringing awareness to childhood cancer and the unfortunate effects it has on children and families.

Consider the following:

  • Worldwide about 400,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year

  • Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children

  • Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children ages 0-14

  • More than 28,000 children in the United States are currently diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Childhood Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is an aggressive, high-grade tumor that arisises from the brain’s supportive tissue, known as glial cells. It is an aggressive tumor that rapidly affects nearby healthy brain tissue. GBM is challenging to treat and prognosis remains poor.

Monies received by the WynterDiva foundation will be sent to our partners, - The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) and the Make A Wish Foundation. CBTF works with families that have children with brain cancer and provides funding to organizations that research causes, treatments and cures for pediatric brain cancer. The Make A Wish Foundation allows children suffering from cancer the opportunity to fulfill wishes that they dream about. For more details click on the following links: CBTF and Make a Wish Foundation
